Acquiring new talents expands horizons and opens the door to many opportunities. In this program, we will cover the fundamental basics of circus makeup from A to Z. You will be able to give a brief description of products available on the market. You will learn their names, places of manufacture, where to buy them, and all available accessories. You will also be able to give a brief description of characters who have marked the artistic history of makeup and know the main artists who made their mark. You will learn the best basic techniques to create the most frequently used lines as well as gradients. You will be able to perform stage makeup, design makeup from A to Z, and create your own designs. Moreover, you will know how to replicate makeup looks and apply prosthetics.

Prepare Yourself Properly in a Comfortable Space

• Take Your Time

  Set aside about 5 to 7 hours per day if you plan to complete the course over multiple days.

• Set Up Your Environment

  Make sure you are in a comfortable place where you can focus and watch videos with the volume on, or simply use headphones.

• Take Breaks

  Take breaks every hour! Breathe deeply, stretch your legs and arms, release shoulder tension, go to the kitchen and drink a glass of water. I like to set an hourly timer for this.

• Stay Hydrated

  Keep water nearby! It’s easy to get absorbed in your work and forget to hydrate.

  Create the Right Ambiance

  If you enjoy listening to music while working, do so. I like the Spotify playlist “Tropical Jungle Relaxation.” You can also light candles depending on the time of day, season, or your mood. I don’t need many excuses to get cozy while working!
