Gradients

MODULE  3

Main Face Painting Techniques

Activation and Loading of a Sponge

You will learn how to create beautiful blends, using one or multiple colors. Blending is crucial in makeup application, so mastering sponge and brush blending techniques is essential.

To activate water-based makeup, lightly spray water on it and use a damp sponge to pick up the product, creating a creamy texture. For cream-based makeup, use a damp sponge without adding water. Test the consistency on a practice surface or your arm: too much product causes spots or residues; too little makes the makeup hard to apply. Aim for gentle, tapping motions, not stretching.

Activation and Loading of a Brush

To activate makeup with a brush, pick up the product with a synthetic brush suited for cream makeup (synthetic bristles). Test consistency as with the sponge: the product should apply smoothly with no drips or residue. Practice creating an even color line with consistent pigmentation. Practice improves your technique best.
