Looking Back at the Martinique Carnival 🎭

From February 7 to 19, Nathalie and Selena, winner of our latest contest, had the opportunity to experience something truly unique in Martinique. For nearly two weeks, they immersed themselves in a vibrant world of colors, music, and creativity, following the rhythm of one of the Caribbean’s most iconic cultural events: Carnival.

A Timeless Experience

This trip was marked by many inspiring encounters and a full immersion into the artistic energy that defines this festive season. Between the preparations, rehearsals, and parades, Nathalie and Selena had the chance to witness firsthand the incredible work of the artists, dancers, and artisans who help make the carnival an unforgettable event every year.

A Natural Involvement

But their participation went far beyond simply attending as spectators. By bringing a makeup expertise, they also took an active role in the event. Their mission was to help enhance the parade participants through creative, colorful makeup looks perfectly suited to the spirit of the carnival. Inspired by traditional patterns, madras fabrics, and the island’s festive energy, they created vibrant looks that beautifully complemented the costumes and performances of the participants.

It was also an opportunity for them to explore the photographic dimension of the event. With cameras in hand, they captured precious moments—from backstage preparations and bursts of laughter among participants to those suspended moments just before the parade began. These images reflect the unique atmosphere of the carnival, where creativity and collective joy take center stage.
